On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at approximately 4:40 pm, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to Fayette-Ware High School on a report of two female juveniles that appeared not to be breathing inside a vehicle in the parking lot. There was also a third female juvenile inside the vehicle that appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. The third juvenile was arrested the next day and charged with two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of the other two teens. She was in court May 18th and put under house arrest with her grandmother and required to wear an ankle monitor. She is due back in court on June 7th.
