Mid South Quail Forever Hosted the Youth Hunter Education Challenge

Another successful Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) is in the bag! This is now the 12th summer that Mid South Quail Forever (MSQF) has hosted the YHEC. YHEC is is one of the NRA’s programs for youth that helps develop their hunting, marksmanship, and safety skills. This program takes what the young people learn at their hunter safety schools, and exercises these skills in the field. Thanks to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s help, and funds raised at Friends of the NRA banquets, MSQF is able to get young people outside, and engage in rifle, shotgun, and archery programs, as well as test their outdoor knowledge and safety skills in other events such as compass, wildlife identification, general hunter safety.
