Harris Armour Bridge Dedication Held on August 11th

On Friday, August 11, 2023, family and friends of the late Harris A. Armour gathered on Armour Road in Fayette County to dedicate a bridge near his home in his honor. Harris was a lifelong native and farmer and a community leader. Harris served on several boards such as the Soil Conservation Board, Chairman of the Fayette County Farm Bureau, Chairman of the Fayette County Regional Planning Commission, on the Hardeman-Fayette Farmers Co-op board, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Fayette Academy, and on the National Cotton Council, Cotton Incorporated. Present were his wife, Dinah, sons Alex and wife Kathryn and Matthew and wife Cindy, and his six grandsons. County officials attending were County Mayor Skip Taylor, County Commissioners Steve Reeves and Tommy Perkins with wife Kathy, County Attorney Ricky Rosser and son Colin Rosser, Jack Dawson, and Mindy and Davey Caudle
