Oakland Board Approved Dennis Mullins as New Public Works Director

The Oakland Board of Mayor and Aldermen met on Thursday, August 17, 2023. City manager Harvey Ellis appointed longtime employee, Dennis Mullins, to serve as Public Works Director. The board approved a change in zoning to allow the mini-warehouses next to Kroger, which also may include a Chick-Fil-A there. A new garbage pickup contract with Team Waste was approved, that includes 2 trucks now. Mayor Mike Brown congratulated Dennis.
