Hickory Withe Community Association Honored Two Volunteer Fire Departments

On September 7, 2023, the Hickory Withe Community Association sponsored a dinner and prizes to thank our two volunteer fire departments- Station 10 and 14. After a BBQ meal, Fayette County Fire Chief Rich Hartfield gave a brief update, and we learned about recent emergency deployments of some of our fire fighters to help with wildfires in Louisiana. Also, three of the volunteers at the dinner demonstrated for us how quickly they have to suit-up in their heavy protective gear. We are so grateful for how hard our volunteers work to keep us safe!
