Domestic Violence Awareness Month Kick-off in Fayette County

General Sessions Court Judge David Douglas hosted a kick off for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Many made powerful statements in support of victims and survivors including Assistant District Attorney Falen Chandler, Fayette County Chief Deputy of Operations Ray Garcia III, and Fayette Cares Executive Director Alexandra Porto. Fayette County Mayor Skip Taylor officially proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Fayette County. A special thank you to Amy Oliver, a domestic violence survivor, Fayette Cares client, and current Fayette Cares Board Member, for allowing her heartfelt story to be shared in court.
