Oakland Receives $2.5 Million Grant for City Parks

The Oakland Board met on Thursday, December 21, 2023, with all members present. Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has awarded Oakland a grant of $2.5 million for local parks. This year there were 33 grants awarded this cycle by the state totaling $26 million. This will be used for the next phase of their park.
