Concerned Citizens around Feathers Chapel Drive Meet on a Proposed Annexation

On Monday, July 29, 2024, a meeting was held at the barn of Kevin Smith on Feathers Chapel Drive with residents of that area about a proposed annexation that caused their concern. The meeting was organized by Kevin, Tom Matthews, and Cecota Hightower. The proposed annexation request came to the Town of Somerville from developer Doug Swink of Renaissance Development. The property is on Feathers Chapel and Warren Road and would have 140 lots. Swink is planning to have septic tanks and wells rather than the cost of city sewer and water at an estimated $2 million.  Read more in the 8-07-24 Falcon issue!
