Please join Drug Free Fayette and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department on April 27, 2024 at First Baptist Church Somerville’s annual Community Day celebration and participate in the nation’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10a-4p. A prescription take back box will be available for no-questions-asked disposal of any unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications in your house at the Drug Free Fayette tent during community day. Please NO needles or liquid medications. The goal for the DEA’s annual take back day is to encourage the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from occurring in communities.
