Industrial Development Board approved Buc’ee’s $15 million loan agreement

Members of the Fayette County Industrial Development Board met on Monday, August 12, 2024. Present were Chairman John David Douglas, County Mayor Skip Taylor, and members Vip Lewis, James Lofties, Chris Triplett, and Hugh Davis. After some questions on the loan agreement, the motion to approve the $15 million loan for Buc’ee’s was passed unanimously by roll call vote. The agreement provides for a TIF (Tax Incremental Financing) district. The store will be located at the northeast corner of I-40 and Hwy 196 near Gallaway.
