Fayette County’s Memorial Day Remembrance Celebration

Fayette County’s Memorial Day Celebration was held Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Bill G. Kelley Criminal Justice Complex and conducted by the American Legion Post #292. Bobby Johnson, chaplain for Post #292, was the master of ceremonies. Richard Allen, pictured, a Gold Star family member of Moscow, was the guest speaker about his late brother, Charlie Allen, who was killed in action. He received a flag during the ceremony. Other veterans recognized for giving their lives were SP4 Amos Bremmer, SP4 Charles Turner, 1LT William Chaffin, III, Pvt. Joe Watson, MM3 James Smith, Jr., PFC Robert Wright; PFC Roger Reed, SP4 Simon Dean, Jr.. and PFC Arthur Wood. Taps was played by Ron Ramsey and Tommy Markle.
