25th Drug Task Force Criminal Interdiction Unit Seizes Fentanyl

Members of the 25th Judicial Drug Task Force Criminal Interdiction Unit intercepted 452 fentanyl pills on a traffic stop last week (6/13/24) on Interstate 40. The driver, Todd Andrew Stevens, admitted to Task Force Agents that he had purchased the pills across the Mexican border near Progresso, Texas. Agents field tested the pills which showed positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine. Stevens was charged with Failure to Maintain Lane and Possession of Schedule II Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver. Stevens still remains in the Fayette County Jail on a $50,000 bond as of the time of this release. The 25th Judicial Drug Task Force Criminal Interdiction Unit is currently composed of members of the Fayette and Tipton County Sheriff’s Offices. Sheriff Bobby Riles is pictured in the center.
