School Board Budget has $7 Million Plus to come out of their Fund Balance

The Fayette County School Board met on July 2, 2024. Their new budget was sent back by the county commission with their recommendation of revenue. Finance director Vincent Harvell (pictured) stated coming out of fund balance for the 2024-25 budget is $7,554,571. A reception is on August 1st at CAB in honor of school board members who have completed their terms. Capt. Wainwright has 12 years of service, Willie Odeneal with 9 years, Heather Doyle with 8 years, and Jim Larkin with 4 years.
