Moscow Board has Lack of Quorum Fifth Time
The Moscow Board held a regular meeting on Monday, August 12, 2024. Present were Mayor Brenda Mitchell, Vice-Mayor Tony Kennon, Aldermen Maxine Griggs and Tiffany Johnson. Absent were Billy Tice, Lamika Hurt, and Mary Hodge. For the fifth meeting in a row, there is no quorum. On the agenda was a resolution to accept the resignation of Billy Tice, a resolution to call for the election on November 5, 2024 (which has not been approved yet), and a resolution requesting the Fayette County Election Commission to conduct a referendum at the November election for liquor by the drink sales in Moscow. Another meeting has been set for August 20th.
