Feathers Chapel Annexation Not Approved By Somerville Board

On Monday night, October 14, 2024, the long awaited vote on the proposed annexation on Feathers Chapel Drive was not approved. A roll call vote was held on the plan of services which must come first and voting yes were Alderman Judy Accardi, Vice-Mayor Sandra Myers, and Mayor Ronnie Neill. Voting no were Aldermen Mike French, Zach Bryson, James Lofties, and Colin Rosser broke the tie with his no vote. The crowd erupted into applause and thanked the board for not approving. This issue has been ongoing from last July when residents first heard about the proposed annexation. Pictured are just a part of the crowd that attended.
